Home « Piping and Drumming Workshops
The Pipers’ Trail will be delivering a series of short Piping and Drumming Workshops during the weeks of the TRAIL in the larger town locations. Sponsored by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA) and supported by the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming (ASBM&HD), the Army in Scotland and the Civic Authorities. We are keen to attract pipers and drummers and pipe bands of all ages and all standards (including beginners) to study and play together each lifting the musical standard of the others.
Instruction will be delivered by RSPBA qualified instructors so if you are a complete beginner and want to try for the first time, wish to improve, play with others or even as a band have help with your competition pieces or perhaps you would like help with tuning your band instruments, all you need do is sign up for a Workshop in your area.
The Workshops will run over a period of three days in the main – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Registration day is on Monday. You can attend for one day, two days or the three days (two days in the case of Perth and Ayr) and at the end of the week why not be part of the SHOW on the Saturday which follows a day of rehearsals. See Show details for more information (Perth and Ayr performances are on the Thursday
of the relevant week).
