The Pipers' Trail provides a wonderful vehicle for supporting the celebration of the Centenary of the Territorial Army and the RFCA but perhaps more importantly it provides a stunning opportunity to share in Scotland’s musical heritage. Each show will strive to be inclusive and local in character albeit professionally delivered. It will provide a powerful showcase for the wealth of musical talent across Scotland. The Trail will also provide the ‘spine’ around which a number of other social events can be wrapped.

The Pipers' Trail is keen to attract, from Scotland and the Commonwealth, pipers and drummers - and pipe bands - of all ages and standards (novice, intermediate and advanced), to study and play together, each lifting the musical standards of the others.
