Meet the cast of The Pipers' Trail Show

Gary Morrison

Gary Morrison - JAMIE

Glasgow born Gary graduated in 1998 before starting professional work at the Citizen’s and Arches in Glasgow. Since then he has appeared in Taggart and various commercials including Xbox and Boots. This year Gary will be performing in panto at The Gaiety Theatre in Ayr. Being in The Pipers’ Trail has been a great experience for Gary and a great way to see Scotland.

 

Julia Anna Castro

Julie Anna Castro - MORAG

Paisley Buddie Julie Anna attended the Dance School of Scotland for two years. In 2004 she headed to London to train at Guildford School of Acting. Roles include Maria, West Side Story, Katharina, Taming of the Shrew & Yum Yum in The Hot Mikado. She recently appeared as Princess Donna in Sinbad the Sailor at York Theatre Royal. Julie Anna is proud to be a Scot and can think of no better way to celebrate this than The Pipers’ Trail. Fàilte!

 

Peter F. Gardiner

Peter F. Gardiner - ROBERT

Peter trained at the Central School of Speech & Drama. Recent theatre credits include Mac/Russian in Hapgood, Mel in A Trip to Scarborough, Player King in Hamlet Sheer Khan in Jungle Book, the Dromio’s in Comedy of Errors and Sheriff of Nottingham in The Legend of Robin Hood. Television includes Stuart Bains in Emmerdale and Captain Coffin in Days That Shook The World.

 

Avril Mieduniecki

Avril Mieduniecki - ENSEMBLE

Avril grew up in Chapelhall, Studied Acting close by at Coatbridge College and attended Comries School of Dance. She has played many of her favourite roles inc. Mary Magdalene/Jesus Christ Superstar, Candy Star/One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Hermia. Avril says “being part of The Pipers’ Trail is extra special as it takes me back home and makes me extra proud to be Scottish”.

 

Gordon Campbell

Gordon Campbell - ENSEMBLE

Born and raised in Aberdeenshire, Gordon trained at The Birmingham Theatre School. Gordon has been in various theatre productions including a National Shakespeare tour as Antonio in The Tempest and King Edward IV in Richard III. He has recently been filming with media companies on short films such as Departures with Chris Barber Media and Life of a Salesman with Craig Martin Films.

Jason Harvey

Jason Harvey - ENSEMBLE

Jason was raised in Condorrat just outside Glasgow. He trained in Glasgow and at the West of Scotland University. Jason’s credits include playing a main suspect, Paul Cooley in the famous Taggart series and a lead in the feature film Rain Dogs. Jason recently played the Earl of Selkirk at the Edinburgh Hub Theatre.

 

Doyle Richards

Doyle Richards - ENSEMBLE

Doyle trained at The Brit School of Performing Arts. He has had numerous TV and live theatre roles - credits include: The Lyric, Dick Whittington and his Cool Cat, By The River, Slamdunk, The Hanged Man and Prospero’s Island.

 

Gary Standen

Gary Standen - ENSEMBLE

Born in Brighton, Gary trained at Wolverhampton University. He has had various roles in live theatre; one of particular note was playing McCann in The Birthday Party. He is currently undertaking a further 12 month course at Manchester School of Acting.

 

Ashley Hope Allan

Ashley Hope Allan - ENSEMBLE

Ashley was born and raised in Glasgow and trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She has played various roles in film and theatre as well as being a backing singer for Barry Manilow.

 

 

Bryan Lacey

Bryan Lacey - DIRECTOR

Bryan began his professional career in the theatre early when he was cast in Alan Bennett’s 40 Years On at the West Yorkshire Playhouse when he was just 13. Since then he’s found his passion for theatre lay in directing and devising not performing. In 2001 he completed a degree at Middlesex University and since then he has been working around the country freelance directing and devising. One company he has consistently enjoyed working for is ImpAct and as the son of a solider he has relished the opportunity to work alongside the British Army and would like to thank them for their passion, commitment and support throughout the project.
