Episode 4 - Orkney

The Pipers Trail arrived in Orkney continuing their island hop back to the mainland. During their trip, they visited Glaitness School where the Trail band performed for an assembly hall packed with delighted kids (delighted to get out of class I'm sure!).

The Trail paraded through Kirkwall, and followed with a performance of The Pipers' Trail Show in the stunning St Magnus Cathedral, the "stomp" scene is shown in the footage here.

The scene from the Pipers' Trail theatrical production that has most wowed audiences so far is the "Stomp" sequence -- an essay in syncopation with some funny scenes from the two brush handlers. The scene is set on the ferry from Shetland. Morag starts tapping to the beat of the engines, Jamie joins in with his chanter, then the rest of the passengers get the idea! Terrific.

Brigadier David Allfrey, who commands 51 (Scottish) Brigade, introduces the concept behind The Pipers Trail and explains how it reaches out to the community, celebrates part of Scotlands culture, and helps celebrate the 100th anniversary of Britain's Territorial Army.
